As a busy woman in her early 50s I listen avidly to Jackie Lynch’s The Happy Menopause podcast and have definitely benefited from several changes I’ve made to my eating and lifestyle habits as a result of the tips and advice offered by Jackie and her guests. So I wasn’t surprised to find that her book is similarly packed full of useful, practical advice about the menopause and how to navigate it, again both from a nutritional and a broader lifestyle perspective.
The book clearly sets out and explains the different phases of the menopause; addresses the huge range of symptoms that can be experienced by women at this time of life, and offers simple, down to earth suggestions as to how a few changes in dietary and eating habits can help alleviate them… and why.
This is a must read for all woman approaching or going through midlife, but I’d say it’s also a useful book for anyone who wants to understand how the right nutrition can help you stay healthy, at any age.
